Coastal Italian Summer Tablescape

In the past, I was never a huge fan of the summer (fall and winter have always had my heart). For some reason, it has really grown on me this year! The different hues of blue popping up in design magazines and a refreshing limoncello spritz drew me in lol. I had a sudden urge to create a coastal Italian summer tablescape.

I wanted to incorporate natural materials such as wood, as well as different patterns and hues of blue. Starting with the base; a tablecloth! A tablecloth can really add personality and elegance to a tablescape! I found this gorgeous one on Amazon for ~$25!

For plates, I wanted to try something different. I originally used white plates but it felt like something was missing. I had snagged these salad and dinner plates on sale at Pottery Barn! I wasn’t sure how it would look with the tablecloth, but I actually am obsessed with how it turned out! The mixed pattern and deeper blue add the level of depth I was looking for! The best part is that each salad plate has a different pattern and the material is melamine, making it perfect for outdoors!

Gold metals add so much warmth and help marry the yellow lemons with the rest of the table. These candlesticks from Anthropologie are so much fun and can be used for so many other occasions!

The flatware is from Amazon. I also have them in black and they are great! Definitely hand wash them to ensure the color does not fade. Since we only use the black and gold ones during special occasions, I do not mind hand washing them haha.

Since you can’t host a coastal Italian dinner party without a spritz, make sure to include a glass large enough for ice and the drink itself. The Camille glasses from Crate and Barrel are the perfect size! I like to include a straw so that it is easier to drink.

The fun, blue goblets are (also) from Amazon haha. This is my first time buying a colorful glass and I am in love! They are sturdy and add another layer of texture and pattern! These are perfect for serving water.

The woven, rattan chargers are from Crate and Barrel and the napkin rings are from Pottery Barn! I love the simplicity and elegance it provides.

If you are looking for beautiful serveware, check out the white ruffle line from Crate and Barrel. These pieces are perfect for spring and summer hosting! Every time I serve pasta or salad in the large ruffle bowl, I always get compliments on it! The entire line is so timeless.

Last but not least is the centerpiece. Check out this blog post for a step by step on how I created the floral arrangement. Using white hydrangeas and lemons really tied the table together! I am so obsessed with how this turned out and hope it inspires you to host an Italian night!
