Affordable Designer-Style Nightstands

We recently moved into our new home and have been pulling the guest room together. Since this isn’t our primary bedroom, I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on nightstands, but I still wanted something that felt substantial and stylish. After a lot of searching, I found the Better Homes & Gardens Oaklee 3-Drawer Nightstands —and I’m honestly so impressed with the quality for the price!

What really sets them apart is the size. At 30 inches long, they’re much larger than most budget-friendly nightstands, which makes them feel instantly more high-end! The extra surface space is perfect for a lamp, a stack of books, or even a water carafe for guests. They’re also heavy and solid—so much so that they remind me of pieces I’ve seen at Arhaus, but at a fraction of the price!!

Another feature I love is the built-in outlet and USB port on the back. It’s such a thoughtful detail, especially in a guest room where visitors may need an easy spot to charge their phone or plug in a device.

To make them look even more custom, I swapped out the original hardware for these Amazon handles and used these screws from Home Depot. That small change really elevated the design and gave them more of a designer feel!

Assembly took me about an hour per nightstand, and while it was a bit of a project, everything came together smoothly. For under $350 for the pair, the combination of size, weight, and functionality makes these an incredible find. If you’re furnishing a guest room or simply don’t want to overspend on bedroom furniture, I can’t recommend these enough!
